ANNUAL WINE, PECAN & ANTIQUE FESTIVAL SECOND WEEKEND IN FEBRUARY
Showcasing only Arizona wineries, including local Verde Valley vineyards, Alcantara Vineyard, Jerome Winery, Page Springs Cellars, Oak Creek Vineyards & Javelina Leap Winery. These wineries are present for wine tasting and sales. Pecan products from local growers will also be available for sale. Demonstrations by Yavapai County Master Gardeners will take place. Along with the wine tasting will be 30 booths of antiques & collectibles from vendors throughout the Southwest. Also featured at the festival will be continual live music from a variety of local jazz bands, pecan pies, pecan bake-off, pecan nut judging, pecan tree sales, free hayrides & tours of Summer Place Pecan Farm., Blacksmith demonstrations, spinning demonstrations and more!
The festival is held at the Camp Verde Community Center, 395 S. Main St, Camp Verde, AZ.
June 10-12, 2011 – Crawdad Festival The event is not taking place in 2011 and it is not certain if it will in the future. CRAWDAD FESTIVAL
Steaming crawdads, alligator on the stick and live fast-tempo music and traditional blends are all part of the fun at the Crawdad Festival.
Held in downtown Camp Verde in the geographic center of Arizona, this New Orleans-style Cajun affair takes place in June near the Town’s gazebo.
Enjoy hot crawdads served with red taters and sweet corn, savory alligator treats, burgers on the grill, and craft vendors. There will be great family amusement-type activities for the kids. There’s cotton candy, popcorn, and snow cones too. As for the grown-ups, they can enjoy adult beverages available in a beer garden.
July 16, 2011 – Cornfest
ANNUAL CORNFEST THIRD SATURDAY IN JULY
The Annual Cornfest takes place at the Town of Camp Verde Community Center. There are games and fun for all ages including contests for “The Corniest Corn Joke”, “Corn Shucking Contest”, “Corn Eating Contest” and last but not the least is the “Hog Calling Contest. The age groups for each of these contests are 5-8 years, 9-11 years, 12-15 years and then 16 and over. In addition to the exciting activities at the Community Center Grounds there is an Annual Cornfest Boxing Championship which takes place. Proceeds from the boxing event help fund the local Golden Cobra Kickboxing Club’s traveling expenses to the I.K.F. Tournament.
The Annual Fort Verde Days takes place second weekend in October at the Camp Verde Community Center. The fun begins on Friday with a Wild Horse & Burro Adoption, Carnival, Dinner & Storytelling and Fort Verde Days Bull Bash. Saturday morning opens with the Kiwanis pancake breakfast from 6:30am – 9:30am followed by the parade, at 10:00am. The day’s events will also include arts & crafts, carnival, art show, kid’s rodeo and some great food and entertainment. Finish the day at the 7pm show of the Bull Bash followed by a community dance. Sunday’s schedule will include the art show, arts and crafts, entertainment and kids rodeo.
CAMP VERDE CHRISTMAS LIGHT PARADE SECOND SATURDAY IN DECEMBER
Camp Verde celebrates Christmas with a spectacular light parade down Main Street. The parade usually starts around 6pm with around 80 entries. After the parade the many retail shops will be open. A beautiful sight to behold, this parade takes place at night on Main Street and features floats that are decorated with thousands of Christmas lights. A beautiful way to celebrate the season.
Immerse yourself in Native American Culture. The Festival of Native American Culture is a place where friends of the Native American Culture come together to share their passion. Hosted by the Arizona Archaeological Society Verde Valley Chapter, the festival is a non-profit event with proceeds dedicated to the protection, preservation and interpretation of the Native American culture heritage sites of Sedona and the Verde Valley.

March 5 & 19, 2011 – 10am & 2pm Adobe brick-making workshops – Come and learn the ABCs of how to make adobe-bricks at Fort Verde State Historic Park; See the four remaining historic buildings all made of adobe.
March 12 & 26, 2011 - 10am & 2pm Living History presentations – Come hear and see what life was like through the eyes of the military and those families who resided at Fort Verde State Historic Park
April 9-10th, 2011 History of the Soldier - Join us as we celebrate our military history, from the Revolutionary War to present day. Presentations, mock battles, music and stage shows, military drills, fashions show, a historic baseball game and a period church service Sunday morning. The camps, horses, cannons and soldiers will all be on the parade field for this annual event.
