TUBING MADNESS AND FUNYAKS ON THE VERDE RIVER
Tubing Madness Starts Memorial Day Weekend in the Sedona Verde Valley region

Temperatures are up and that means Tubing Madness on the Verde River. Sedona Adventure Tours Outfitter and Guides is gearing up right now to kick off this summer fun-for-the-whole-family adventure. You can float the Verde for a couple of hours or make it an all day adventure by adding a second trip and bringing a picnic lunch. Here is how it works. You rent your tubes and water toys from Sedona Adventure Tours, who will meet your party at Beasley Flats Recreational Area. Directions are provided. There you will park your car and board the Sedona Adventure Tours shuttle that will take you upstream to your put-in spot on the Verde River. And off you go tubing down the Verde. Expect to get wet and soak up lots of sunshine. Bring appropriate shoes, hats, sunscreen, water and a picnic lunch if desired. After much fun in the sun, including, of course, water fights with the provided water cannons, you will float back to your parking spot. Big decision time: do you call it a day and head home? hang out in the shade for a leisurely riverside picnic? or jump on the shuttle for another trip?! What a great day!

Another fun way to explore the Verde River is on a ‘funyak’. What are funyaks? Funyaks are inflatable kayaks that are small, light, very stable and easy to navigate so no experience is necessary. Doing the Verde River on a funyak is another great way float the river.

The Verde River is the only designated Wild and Scenic River in Arizona. Though you will be tubing or funyaking near the cities of Cottonwood, Clarkdale and Camp Verde, you will feel totally removed from civilization, wrapped in your own green oasis of cool, wet and wild fun. You are not alone of course, as sightings of eagles, beaver, otters and even bobcat are not uncommon.

Tubing Madness is definitely fun in the sun for the whole family! Sedona Adventure Tours is the exclusive land and water outfitter and guide in Sedona and the Verde Valley. Beasley Flats Recreational Area is about 1:45 minutes from Phoenix and about 1:15 minutes from Flagstaff.

Other adventure trips offered at Sedona Adventure Tours include Water to Wine, Verde River Kayak trips and Sedona hiking tours.
